PARKWAY CASH FOR CANCER (C4C)
Parkway Cash for Cancer is a weeklong competition between the four Parkway high schools. The COW equivalents at each school (Parkway North's KEY Club, Parkway South's KEY Club, and Parkway Central's Project Help) compete against each other during the official Parkway Hats on for Cancer Week in March to raise money for Friends of Kids with Cancer.
2014-2015 After such a successful first year, COW Co-Presidents Mahnoor Malik and Jordan Beveridge repeated the Cash for Cancer fundraiser. West raised more than competitor Central, earning $1,301.96 for Friends of Kids with Cancer, and maintaining our reputation as the most altruistic Parkway school in the process! Central was able to raise $400, bringing the total donation to just over $1,700.
2013-2014 This was Parkway Cash for Cancer's first year! COW president Sarah V. headed the project of bringing the four high schools together to raise money for Friends of Kids with Cancer. The competition was the week of March 3rd, but with the snow day on the Monday of the competition, the schools had only four days to raise money. Even with this set back, Cash for Cancer was a huge success: West came in first raising $1,550.62,Central was second ($745.58), and North was third ($285).
